NFL Concussion Settlement covers former players in multiple leagues

There's good news for football players in a variety of professional leagues. The recently announced NFL Concussion Settlement covers a number of world leagues.

The settlement is focused on compensation for head trauma and the resulting brain damage it causes. Retired players of the AFL American Football League, as well as retired players of the World League of American Football and NFL Europe League are eligible to register to participate.

The agreed upon settlement provides over a billion dollars total for former players of these leagues with head-related injuries. There is a wide range of payouts to players, depending on the severity of injuries and other factors.

The registration deadline is August 7, 2017 and is a requirement but the registration itself does not guarantee participation in the settlement.
