A Special Noir at a Bar benefiting the Oxford Public Library
NOIR AT A BAR III - The Oxford Files
The Noir at a Bar gang descended on the Octoraro Tavern (The OTE as the locals know it) with a special mission: a fundraiser for the local library.
Jay Kennedy and library manager Carey Bressler were key to filling the room and promoting the event. The Tavern did a phenomenal job with the food and giving us a great place for the evening.
The room was packed and we all had a great time. What a great venue and honestly, the first time Noir at a Bar was actually held in the same room as an actual bar!
For the first time, we also issued a book including the stories which the author read that evening and a few bonus items. Again, the proceeds went to the library. The book is available for purchase at the library and on Amazon.com

A Special Noir at a Bar benefiting the Oxford Public Library
NOIR AT A BAR Oxford - FOUR
Renumbered to confuse everyone. Fourth at Oxford but not the fourth NOIR.
Four the fourth time, Noir at a Bar invaded the Octoraro Tavern for an evening of suspense, crime, and the supernatural .
As usual, Jay Kennedy and library director Carey Bressler were key to filling the room and promoting the event. The Tavern is a great host and a wonderful place to serve as our "scene of the crimes."
As usual, Gary Zenker served as emcee and rounded up the twelve usual suspects to read their stories.

Our Second Event Drew a Record Crowd
NOIR AT A BAR II - West Chesters
Forget stories of murders, sequels are really scary! It's often too hard to live up to the original.
We're glad to say that Noir at a Bar II surpassed the first in terms of nearly everything. We had a bigger audience (capacity: in fact and added two tables after the event started).
We had some readers return and added some new faces, as well.
Gary Zenker served as emcee and made all of the usual arrangements.
